Medicaid is a joint federal-state healthcare program for low-income individuals. Idaho’s Medicaid program pays for homecare and has other programs for in home supports if people meet eligibility requirements. Benefits for long-term services can vary from plan to plan so it is important to make sure you know what is covered. For example, some policies will cover only what is considered as skilled care and will not cover visits for meal preparation or respite care. A good policy will cover all personal care services such as help with bathing, meal preparation and light housekeeping.
